Post 09 Pikeville wins KSP Trooper Island Softball Tournament
Kentucky State Police Post 09 Pikeville Softball Team with their, (Iron Men of the Mountains), hitting ability were undefeated as they swept the State to win the 2009 Kentucky State Police Softball Tournament. Captain Jeff Mayberry stated that "The tournament was a great one with some of the greatest games in the history of this tournament. We are very fortunate to have competed so well. The camaraderie was excellent and all the units had a great time. We are going to savor this championship and get ready for next year. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to that." The Kentucky State Police Softball Tournament is always a high point of the year for troopers and their families.
