KSP Charges Jefferson Co. Man With Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

(Louisville, Ky.) - On January 7, 2015, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 4-Elizabethtown units, arrested Gregory Witte, 54, for charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Witte was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Witte's residence during the evening hours of January 7, 2015. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing. Witte is currently charged with multiple counts of possession and two counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Witte was lodged in the Jefferson County Detention Center.
