Cold Case of Clifton Jerome McGee
State Police Request Help Resolving the Murder of Clifton Jerome McGee - Occurred on August 16, 1981.
Victim: Clifton Jerome McGee, White Male, 57 years of age.
Location: 1 1/5 miles West of Rosine, Ohio County, Kentucky.
Victim had attended a National Rifle Association meet in Camp Perry, Ohio. He was returning to his home in Beaumont, Texas. Victim reportedly liked to drive back roads and slept in his car when necessary. On August 16, 1981, he backed his car into an access road off U.S. 62 and apparently was asleep when shot. It appears the offender fired through the left rear door glass with a .22 caliber weapon. Victim was shot three (3) times in the head, once in the arm and twice in the back. Victim was apparently removed from his vehicle and vehicle removed from scene and later found wrecked.
