State Police Request Help Resolving Donald Wayne Barnett Murder

Donald Wayne Barnett body was found ago.
Detectives with the Kentucky State Police in Madisonville are asking for help in finding the person(s) that murdered Donald Wayne Barnett.
On 3-17-03 the body of Donald Wayne Barnett, a forty-six year old white male was discovered on strip mine property in south Hopkins County. Barnett had apparently been sitting in his vehicle and was the victim of multiple gunshot wounds at close range.
Barnett was unemployed and was a heavy drug abuser including: crack cocaine, prescription pills, and marijuana. It is believed at this time that the murder is related to Barnett's drug activity.
Several leads are being investigated at this time.
