Fatal Collision on US 45 in Graves County

(Hickory, KY) - Ms. Carol L. Bolt was returning to her residence, southbound on US 45. For unknown reasons, she crossed over the fog line, overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, traveling off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle slid sideways and struck an earthen embankment and became airborne, overturning and coming to a final rest on its roof in a ditch. Another motorist who called 911 discovered the accident. Trooper White and the coroner notified the next of kin. Trooper White was assisted on the scene by Trooper Trey Green, Graves County Sheriff Department and Mayfield EMS. The investigation is continuing by Trooper White.
