Fatal Collision on 5748 US Highway 641 South in Calloway County

(Hickory, KY) - Ms. Theda Weatherly was Northbound on US Highway 641 when she left the roadway and overcorrected striking Mr. Gene P. Sammons' southbound 2003 Hyundia. Mr. Sammons left the roadway coming to a final rest. Ms. Weatherly came to final rest on US Highway 641. Mr. Sammons was pronounced dead at Calloway County Hospital. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Ms. Weatherly was transported to Calloway County Hospital where she was treated for her injuries. TFC Anderson was assisted by Calloway Fire and Rescue, Murray Fire Department and EMS. The investigation continues with the Kentucky State Police.
