Escapee From Lyon County

(Hickory, KY) - Kentucky State Police and Eddyville Police Department responded to a stolen vehicle complaint in Eddyville today at 1:54 p.m. While responding it was discovered that an inmate from the Western Kentucky Correctional complex had walked away from a work detail at the Lyon County School and possibly stole the vehicle. The vehicle was located in a field in Lyon County near Sunnyside Loop. The owner advised that a handgun was missing from the vehicle. Kentucky State Police, Eddyville Police Department, Lyon County Sheriffs Office, Department of Corrections, and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement are searching for the subject.
