Drug Arrest on I-24 in McCracken County

Date of News Release: 07/22/2008

(Hickory, KY) - On 07-21-2008, Trooper TJ Williams stopped a vehicle on I-24 Westbound, at the 13 mile marker, for a traffic violation. While talking to the driver, indicators of criminal activity were present. During the course of the investigation, the vehicle was searched and Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, along with 4.2 grams of Cocaine was located.

Those arrested were identified as:
Demetrius Bell age 23 of E St. Louis, IL was charged with Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Eddron D Broaden age 26 of Belleville, IL was charged with Possession of Marijuana/ Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st - Cocaine
James Markowski age 30 of Addieville, IL was charged with Speeding , No/Expired OL, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st- Cocaine

All three subjects were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
