Injury Collision on KY 94 in Graves County

(Mayfield, KY) - Joseph Murphy was traveling west on KY 94, approximately one mile west of Lynnville, in a 2000 Freightliner hauling three 15,000 lb aluminum coils when he dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Murphy's load shifted causing him to loose control and resulting in his truck overturning. Mr. Murphy was not wearing a seatbelt. Mr Murphy was transported to Murray/Calloway Hospital, where he was treated and released. KY 94 was closed for approximately six hours while crews worked to clear the scene. Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, Kentucky Department of Highways, Mayfield/Graves County EMS, and the Cuba Fire Department assisted Kentucky State Police at the scene. Investigation is continuing by Trooper Joe Gregory.
