Update to the Escapees from the West KY Correctional Farm Complex

(Fredonia, KY) - Kentucky State Police troopers from Post 1 and Post 2 along with correctional officers from the West Kentucky Correctional Complex are currently searching for two escapees who walked away from the Correction Complex. The search is centered around the Fredonia area where the two were observed trying to steal gas. They were confronted by the property owner and got into a physical altercation before fleeing on foot back towards Fredonia east of KY 902. One headed towards Hwy 70 and the other towards Fredonia. Police are asking the public to take the keys from vehicles and keep houses locked while officers search the area. James Whisman is described as a 26 year old white male, 5ft 10in, 158 lbs, gray hair and blue eyes.
Jesse Sebastian is a 43 year old white male, 6ft, 140 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes. Both subjects may be wearing khaki shirts and pants, white shirts, and gray sweat pants or any combination of the above.

(Lyon County) - On 8/16/2008 at approximately 0430 AM, two inmates were reported missing from the West KY Correctional Farm Complex north of Eddyville. Escapees James Ernest Whisman of Morehead and Jesse James Sebastian were last physically seen at approximately 2230 (1030 PM) on 8/15/2008. A bed check at around 0430 revealed the pair were missing and presumed to have walked away during the night.
Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity and, most importantly, secure property, clothing, and vehicles to guard against theft.
