Burglary Arrest in Calloway County

(Hazel, KY) - A Murray man has been arrested for the burglary of a residence in Hazel, Kentucky. On April 7^th, Kentucky State Police received a complaint from a resident that her home had been burglarized and various items stolen. An investigation by Kentucky State Police quickly began. During the investigation, information was received regarding the location of some of the stolen items from the home. In May, the Calloway County Sheriff's Office recovered several firearms in an abandoned van near Murray. On July 18^th, Trooper Sallin recovered a 46" television from a home in Murray. During the investigation, a suspect was identified and interviewed by troopers and deputies. On Monday, August 25^th, troopers arrested Rodney Butler Jr., 19, of Murray. Mr. Butler was charged with Burglary 1^st Degree, a class B felony. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Mark Sallin with the Kentucky State Police and the Calloway County Sheriff's Office.
