Injury CMV Collision on KY 1406 in Hancock County

Henderson, KY - Mr. William D. Houghland was operating a 2007 Frieghtliner traveling northbound on Kentucky 1406 when for some unknown reason he crossed the center line striking another a southbound 2007 Frieghtliner operated by Mr. Robert J. Pettit. Mr. Houghland traveled to the Darmtar Company security office to alert authorities, while Mr. Pettit's truck came to rest on the southbound shoulder of the highway. A third semi-truck operated by Mr. Jodie L. Tripp was traveling northbound behind Mr. Houghland and struck debris that was in the roadway from the first collision causing a diesel fuel leak. Mr. Tripp was able to drive to the Darmtar Company security office as well. Mr. Tripp complained of minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Mr. Houghland was transported by Hancock County EMS to the Perry County Hospital in Tell City, IN where he is being treated for what is reported to be minor injuries. Mr. Pettit was not injured as a result of the collision.
