KSP accepting applications for Post 16 Citizens Police Academy

(Henderson, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 16 - Henderson is now accepting applications for the 2014 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The nine week academy is slated to begin on October 2, 2014. Students will meet Thursdays from 6:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated traffic stops and investigations.

Anyone 18 years of age with no criminal history is welcome to apply. There is no cost to attend. All applicants will be subject to a background check. There is limited seating and application deadline is September 22, 2014 at noon.
