DUI Collision on US68/80 in Trigg County

(Hickory, KY ) - On October 4, 2014 Trooper Daniel Holland responded to the 27 mile marker on US 68/80 in reference to a report of an injury accident. Initial Investigation reveals that Mr. James Cain, age 53 of Hopkinsville, was traveling East on US 68/80 when his vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle then overturned, off the roadway, and came to final rest on its roof . Mr. Cain received minor injuries and refused medical treatment on scene. Mr. Cain was charged with DUI 1st and no seatbelt. He was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center. Trooper Holland was assisted on scene by the Trigg County Sheriff's Department, Cadiz Police Department, Trigg County Rescue, and the Montgomery Fire Department. The investigation continues.
