Single Vehicle Collision with Injury

South Carrollton, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single vehicle collision that occurred on Kentucky 81, approximately one-half mile north of South Carrollton, on Friday, March 28, 2014, at approximately 11:53 P.M.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Stephen D. Foster, age 61, of Bremen, KY, was operating a 2005 Ford Pickup when he lost control of the vehicle, exited the roadway, and struck a concrete culvert. Mr. Foster, the only occupant in the vehicle, was transported by Muhlenberg County EMS to Baptist Health in Madisonville where he was admitted for injuries sustained during the collision.

Mr. Foster was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 2nd Offense and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle Prohibited. Mr. Foster was cited to court due to his injuries.

Trooper Jonathan McGehee investigated the collision. The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, Bremen Community Volunteer Fire Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
