Single-Vehicle Injury Collision On KY 85

Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 85, at KY 70, on Friday, April 11, 2014, at 7:44 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Freeman Croft, 65, of Greenville, KY, was operating a 2002 Honda Motorcycle eastbound on KY 85. While attempting to make a right turn onto KY 70, Mr. Croft lost control of the motorcycle. He traveled across the westbound lane and came to rest in a ditch.

Mr. Croft was transported via ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment. Mr. Croft was not wearing a helmet.

Trooper Jonathan Murphy investigated the collision. Sergeant Daniel White, Anton Fire Department, and Med Center EMS assisted at the scene.
