Felony Drug Arrest in Elkton, KY

Elkton, KY. (Todd County) - The Todd County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police arrested two Elkton residents on drug-related charges.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at approximately 4:50 P.M., Todd County Deputy Tracy White and Kentucky State Police Trooper Curtis Crick went to an address on Allensville Street in Elkton to serve an arrest warrant on 40 year old Tony McCormick, and 32 year old Ryan Golden. While serving the warrants, officers smelled a chemical odor consistent with a methamphetamine lab coming from the garage. While Deputy White was obtaining a search warrant, Trooper Curtis Crick found Bruce Strader, 27, to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. During execution of the search warrant items and chemicals commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine were located, as well as stolen road signs, and two stolen 'Tracy White for Sheriff' campaign signs.

In addition to Tony McCormick's warrant, Deputy Tracy White arrested and charged Tony McCormick with:

  1. Manufacturing Methamphetamine
  2. Possession of drug paraphernalia
  3. Receiving stolen property
  4. Criminal Mischief

Trooper Curtis Crick arrested and charged Bruce Strader with:

  1. Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense, Methamphetamine
  2. Possession of drug paraphernalia
  3. Tampering with physical evidence.

In addition to Ryan Golden's warrant, Trooper Curtis Crick charged Ryan Golden with:

  1. Possession of marijuana
  2. Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy White and Trooper Crick were also assisted by Elkton Police Department.
