Single Vehicle Injury Collision On US 60

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on US 60, approximately three miles west of Marion, on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 1:10 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Thomas Maynard, 56, of Marion, was operating a 2010 Honda Fit eastbound on US 60 when the vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway. It struck an embankment and overturned. The vehicle came to rest upright off the roadway.

Mr. Maynard and his passenger, Alex Maynard (son), 16, of Marion, were transported via ambulance to the Crittenden County Hospital for treatment. Both subjects were wearing seatbelts.

Trooper First Class Chris King investigated the collision. Crittenden County EMS assisted at the scene.
