Injury Collision On Pennyrile Parkway

Crofton, KY (Christian County) - The Kentucky State Police is investigating an injury collision that occurred on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway, at approximately the 20 mile-marker, on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at 8:15 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Brandy L. Snyder, 54, of Nortonville, was operating a 2004 Pontiac Grand Marquis southbound on the parkway. Ms. Snyder was traveling in the left (passing) lane.
As she was traveling southbound, a tractor-trailer that was in the right lane entered her lane of travel. The trailer struck Ms. Snyder’s vehicle which caused her to lose control. Her vehicle spun out of control and entered the median where it came to rest. The tractor-trailer continued on southbound.
Ms. Snyder, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. There were no passengers involved.
Trooper Luis Palmer is investigating the collision. Trooper First Class Jim McArthur and Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
