Fordsville Man Indicted on Charges from Fatal Vehicle Collision

Henderson, KY - On February 27, 2015, the Ohio County Grand Jury indicted Jimmy L. Carden with the following:

  1. Wanton Endangerment 1st.
  2. Leaving the Scene of Accident and Failure to Render Aid or Assistance.
  3. Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence 1st Offense.
  4. Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree.
  5. Assault 2nd degree.
  6. Manslaughter 2nd degree.

Carden is lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center in Hartford, KY.

Fatal Vehicle Collision in Ohio County

Date of News Release: 10/21/2014

Henderson, KY - Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision on Old Leitchfield Road near Zion Church Road. Upon arrival, the driver had already fled the scene. He was located a short time later and transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital to be treated for his injuries. A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead on-scene by the Ohio County Coroner. After further investigation, the driver was charged with Murder, Wanton Endangerment - 1st Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Accident - Failure to Render Aid or Assistance, Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol /Drugs/ETC .08 - 1st Offense, Possession of Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited and lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center. The investigation is on-going.
