Two-Vehicle Collision with Injuries

Henderson, KY - On March 6, 2015 at approximately 6:40 PM Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries on U S Highway 60 East at the 30 mile marker in Daviess County. Upon arrival troopers located a head on collision in the westbound lane of travel. Upon investigation, Jerold McDonald advised he was operating his 2005 GMC Envoy eastbound when a deer entered the roadway causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the westbound lanes of travel and struck a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta head on. The driver of the Volkswagen, identified as Marvin Schmidt of Lincoln City, IN, was transported to Owensboro Regional Health Hospital by Yellow Ambulance Service for treatment of his injuries. Mr. McDonald and his passenger had no complaints of injury on scene.
