Injury Collision on the Western Kentucky Parkway

(HENDERSON, KY.) -- On August 2nd, 2015 at approximately 1:30 AM Kentucky State Police Post 16 Henderson received a call in reference to a single vehicle accident with injuries on the Western Kentucky Parkway just outside of Ohio County in Butler County, KY. The driver, identified as Jesse Markham of Princeton, KY, was operating a black 2005 Subaru Legacy eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway. Mr. Markham advised that he fell asleep behind the wheel causing his vehicle to leave the roadway. The vehicle exited the right shoulder of the highway and struck a tree. After striking the tree the vehicle reentered the highway and rolled over numerous times across the median before coming to a final stop on the westbound shoulder of the highway. Mr. Markham refused treatment on scene; however his two passengers were transported to Ohio County Hospital by Grayson County EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
