2015 KSP Citizens Police Academy to Start in Ohio County

(Henderson, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 16 - Henderson is now accepting applications for the 2015 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The nine week academy is slated to begin on October 8, 2015. Students will meet Thursdays from 6:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated traffic stops and investigations.
The academy will be held at the Ohio County Senior Center in Hartford (located at the Ohio County Fairgrounds on KY 69). Anyone 18 years of age with no criminal history is welcome to apply. There is no cost to attend. All applicants will be subject to a background check. There is limited seating and application deadline is September 28, 2015 at noon.
