Four Vehicle Accident with Injuries

(Henderson, KY) - On October 3rd, 2015 at approximately 6:57PM Kentucky State Police responded to a four vehicle accident with injuries reported on U.S. Highway 60 West in the limits of Corydon, KY in Henderson County. Upon investigation at the scene by troopers it was determined that all vehicles involved were traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 60, when a black 2015 Chevy Silverado, operated by Ms. Lisa M. Hogan of Morganfield, KY was unable to stop the vehicle in time due to slowed traffic. Ms. Hogan struck the rear of a silver 2014 Chevy Captiva, operated by Shari L. Vickery of Shawneetown, IL. This initial collision caused Ms. Vickery's vehicle to strike the rear of a white 2010 Ford Explorer, operated by Brenda J. Downing of Sturgis, KY who then struck the rear of a grey 2014 Dodge Journey, operated by Melissa Burkes of Corydon, KY. Four individuals Robert Downing, Robert and Shari Vickery, and Melissa Burkes were all transported to Methodist Hospital Emergency Room in Henderson for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
