Two Vehicle Collision with Injuries

(Henderson, KY) - On October 10th, 2015 Kentucky State Police Post 16 was notified by Daviess County Central Dispatch of a vehicle that failed to yield to the Daviess County Sheriff's Office when they signaled for the driver to pull over after the vehicle left the scene of an accident. The vehicle fled into Mclean County where the Mclean County Sheriff's Office initiated a pursuit with the suspect vehicle. Jonathan Boyd, of Beaver Dam, KY, was operating a white 1991 Cadillac Deville and failed to yield to pursuing Mclean County Deputies. Mr. Boyd was traveling eastbound on 5th Street in the city limits of Livermore when he failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection of Main Street. Jordan Hampton, of Sacramento, KY, was operating a white 2006 Nissan Altima traveling northbound on Main Street and was in the intersection of 5th and Main when Mr. Boyd ran the stop sign striking Mr. Hampton's vehicle on the rear drivers side. After the collision Mr. Boyd was taken into custody by the Mclean County Sheriff's Office without incident, and both individuals were transported by Mclean County EMS to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Kentucky State Police investigated the accident with injuries and the Mclean County Sheriff's Office along with the Daviess County Sheriff's Office is carrying charges on Mr. Boyd as a result of the pursuits.
