Injury Collision on US 60 involving an ATV

(Salem, KY) - Kentucky State Police responded to an accident in the 1900 block of US 60 involving an ATV. John Blazina was operating a Nissan Altima and traveling eastbound on US 60. A juvenile operating an ATV attempted to cross the US 60 and collided with the front driver side of Blazina's vehicle. This caused Blazina to lose control of his vehicle, leave the right side of the roadway, and come to final rest in a field. Blazina was wearing a seatbelt and did not receive any injuries as a result of the collision. The juvenile operating the ATV was transported to Livingston County Hospital for minor injuries. The juvenile was not wearing a helmet while operating the ATV. The collision investigation continues by Trooper Cody Cecil. Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by Livingston County EMS, Crittendon County EMS, and Salem Volunteer Fire Department.
