New Concord Man Arrested at a Traffic Safety Checkpoint

(New Concord, KY) -- On 05/01/2015 at 9:00 p.m., Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic safety checkpoint on Highway 121 South in the community of New Concord. During the checkpoint, at 9:51 p.m., Michael Queen was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. During a search of Queen's vehicle, various items of paraphernalia and drugs were located. Mr. Queens was subsequently charged with DUI 1st Offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and various other traffic related offenses. The Kentucky State Police were assisted by Deputies from the Calloway County Sheriff's Department. The investigation continues by Senior Trooper Jody Cash.
