Injury Collision & Arrest in Arlington, KY

(Arlington, KY) - Kentucky State Police responded to KY 80 and CR 1207 for an accident with injuries. Trooper Paul Hale located the driver, Danny Malady and after further investigation arrested him suspicion of Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence. Trooper Hale was placing Malady in the back of his cruiser when he began struggle and kick Trooper Hale. After Malady refused to comply Trooper Hale sprayed him with OC spray, "pepper spray." Malady then began to kick and cause damage to door of the police cruiser. Shortly afterwards, Malady then became compliant. Malady was examined by Carlisle County EMS and was later transported to Ballard County Jail. Malady was charged with Operating Under the Influence Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 2nd offense, Assault 3rd degree Police Officer or Prob Officer, Menacing, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Possession Of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container In Motor Vehicle Prohibited, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Off (Drug Unspecified), Possession Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree-Drug Unspecified, And Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree. Trooper Hale did not receive any injuries.
