Nortonville Man Charged With Offenses Related To Child Exploitation

Nortonville, KY (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police has charged a Nortonville man with offenses related to child exploitation after conducting an investigation.
On Tuesday, January 6, at approximately 7:32 p.m., KSP Detective Lloyd Ray executed a search warrant at a residence located on Swan Lake Road in Nortonville. As a result of the search warrant, Gary L. Coburn, 53, of Nortonville, was arrested by Detective Ray. Mr. Coburn was charged with the following offense:
- 2 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor (D Felony)
He was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
Mr. Coburn was arrested as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation that began in December of 2014. The complaint involved the accused using the Internet to download material which contained child exploitation images.
The investigation is continuing by Detective Ray. MPD Detective Bob Couchman, KSP Detectives Dan Morck, Matt Foster, Carlo Anderson, Trooper Joe Bartolotti, Sergeant Nick Rice, and Sergeant Derek Smith assisted at the scene.
