Hopkinsville Man Charged With Offenses Related To Child Exploitation

Hopkinsville, KY (Christian County) - The Kentucky State Police has charged a Hopkinsville man with offenses related to child exploitation.
On Tuesday, May 19, at approximately 10:51 a.m., KSP Detective Lloyd Ray executed a search warrant at a residence located on Crestview Drive in Hopkinsville. As a result of the search warrant, Christopher L. Reed, 40, Hopkinsville, was arrested by Detective Ray.
Mr. Reed was charged with four counts of Possession of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor (D Felony). He was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
Mr. Reed was arrested as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation that began in February of 2015. The complaint involved the accused using the Internet to download material which contained child exploitation images. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized for examination. The investigation is continuing by Detective Ray.
