Single-Vehicle Injury Collision On KY 1119

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 1119, on Monday, July 20, at 8:18 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Mike Newlin, 56, Princeton, was operating a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo westbound on KY 1119 when it appears that he fell asleep.
The vehicle continued straight as it entered a curve. It exited the westbound shoulder of the roadway and traveled into a ditch where it struck a drainage culvert. The vehicle overturned and struck a tree before coming to rest upright, against the tree.
Mr. Newlin, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported by a privately-owned vehicle to the Caldwell Medical Center for treatment.
