Update to KSP Seeking Escapee – Escapee Caught

Date of News Release: 08/04/2015

Clay, KY (Webster County) - On Tuesday, August 4, at approximately 1:19 p.m., Trooper William Braden and the Webster County Sheriff's Department located Steven Long at a residence on East Short Street in Clay. Mr. Long was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with Escape 2nd Degree (D Felony) and lodged in the Webster County Jail.

KSP Seeking Escapee

Clay, KY (Webster County) - On Monday, August 3, at approximately 8:02 a.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville was contacted by the Webster County Detention Center in reference to an escapee. The escapee was on work-release as part of a mowing crew, doing work in the area of the park in Clay.

The escapee is:

Steven D. Long:

  • Age: 32
  • Sex: Male
  • Race: White
  • Height: 5' 6" - 5'10"
  • Weight: 155 - 160
  • Hair: Brown
  • Eyes: Brown

Mr. Long was last seen fleeing on foot on Taylor Street in Clay. He was wearing Khaki pants and no shirt. He might possibly be in a white, Chevrolet Impala.
