Wanted Subject Located, Along With Additional Charges

(Scottsville, KY) - On Monday, March 23, 2015 the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received information that an individual that was wanted out of Tennessee on felony warrants was possibly at a residence in Allen County.
Robert Moss (45) of Springfield, TN had active warrants out of Tennessee for Reckless Endangerment, Felony Evading, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Domestic Assault, and Aggravated Stalking. Moss was also linked to a pursuit that occurred in Tennessee on Sunday, March 22 that came into Kentucky where the subject wrecked and was suspected of stealing a 1977 Chevrolet Pickup truck from Simpson County. Information was obtained of the possible whereabouts of Moss at 2450 Barren River Dam Road in Allen County. When units arrived at this location the stolen pickup was located.
After a short period of time contact was made with the owner of the residence, Jeffrey Vandiver (53), who advised that Moss was indeed inside the residence and was attempting to hide from law enforcement. Due to information obtained through the investigation it was believed that Moss was to be considered armed and dangerous.
After a standoff with the barricaded Moss, the Kentucky State Police located him inside the residence and placed him under arrest. Along with stolen truck, a stolen handgun was also located during the investigation. In addition to the warrants issued in Tennessee, Moss was also charged with Receiving Stolen Property (Auto), Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm), Possession of Firearm By a Convicted Felon, and Resisting Arrest and was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
Vandiver was also arrested and charged with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper First Class Brian Gann, who was also assisted by additional units with the Kentucky State Police and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, the Allen County Sheriff's Department, Scottsville Police Department, and the Barren-Edmonson-Allen Drug Task Force.
