Pursuit Leads to Arrest in Warren County

(Smiths Grove, KY) - On Thursday, August 13, 2015 at approx. 9:34 am Trooper Graham Rutherford with the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Nissan Altima in the city limits of Smiths Grove where the subject did not stop and fled at a high rate of speed heading south on KY 101. At the intersection of KY 101 and KY 1297 the subject wrecked his vehicle attempting to make a right turn.
The operator was taken into custody and identified as Robert Gammon (19) of Smiths Grove. He was arrested and charged with Speeding 26 mph or greater, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle), Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, No Registration Plates, Disregarding Stop Sign, Failure to Wear Seat Belt, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, No Operators License, and Failure to Maintain Required Insurance. Gammon was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper Graham Rutherford.
