Single Vehicle Injury Collision on US 41(Madisonville Road)

Crofton, KY (Christian County) - The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single-vehicle, injury-collision that occurred on US 41 (Madisonville Road), south of Crofton, on Thursday, March 31, at 7:00 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Owen McDonald, 56, Crofton, was operating a 1978 Chevrolet El Camino northbound on US 41 (Madisonville Road) when he lost control of the vehicle. It exited the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a rock. The vehicle overturned. Mr. Owen, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. The vehicle came to rest upright, partially in the roadway.
Mr. Owen was transported via ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment. He was later transported by ambulance to Deaconess in Evansville, IN.
Trooper First Class Jim McArthur is investigating the collision. The Christian County Sheriff's Department, the Crofton Volunteer Fire Department, and Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
