Single Vehicle Injury Collision in Muhlenberg County

Midland (Muhlenberg County) - A single vehicle collision sends two to the emergency room.

On Friday, July 1, 2016, at 3:30 P.M., a single vehicle collision with injuries was reported to the Kentucky State Police Post Two. Trooper Jon McGehee responded to investigate. Patricia Anderson, Age 67 of Bremen, was operating her 2006 Toyota Sport Utility Vehicle when she exited the roadway and traveled down an embankment. The vehicle struck a tree and traveled up a rock embankment before coming to final rest. Mrs. Anderson was carrying 4 passengers, including three juveniles. All occupants were properly restrained. Mrs. Anderson was transported to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital by Muhlenberg EMS for non-life threatening injuries. A Four Year Old passenger was transported to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital by PHI Life Flight services for injuries sustained to her torso and head. Quality Towing removed the vehicle from the scene. Bremen Community Volunteer Fire Department, Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, and Constable Tim Franklin assisted at the scene.
