Child Exploitation Arrest

Drakesboro, KY (December 20, 2016) – On December 20th, 2016, Kentucky State Police arrested Spencer Wood, 20-year-old male, from Drakesboro, Kentucky for multiple charges involving child exploitation. In April 2016, Kentucky State Police was notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NECMEC) saying Woods was requesting nude photographs from underage females through social media websites. Through investigation, it was learned that Wood was exploiting juvenile females in the Muhlenberg County Area along with females in other states. Wood was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. He was charged with four counts of Possess/View Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor, and Six counts of Prohibited Use of Electronic Communication System to Procure a Minor. The investigation is being conducted by Detective Lloyd Ray. Detective Ray was assisted in his investigation by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch, and the Madisonville Police Department Electronic Crimes Unit.
