Indictment Warrant Served in Connection to Collision that Resulted in the Death of a Pedestrian

(Bowling Green, KY.) - On October 12, 2014 the Kentucky State Police responded to a collision on Little Mountain Road in Edmonson County where a pedestrian, Tammy Duncan (49) of Sweeden, KY, was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by James Miller (who was 19 at the time of the collision). The investigation was conducted by Trooper Chris Newkirk.
The investigation led to a presentation to the Edmonson County Grand Jury last week, where an Indictment Warrant was issued for James Miller (20) of Sweeden charging him with Reckless Homicide.
On Friday, January 31, 2016 at approx. 11:19 am the Edmonson County Sheriff's Office arrested and served the warrant Mr. Miller where he was lodged in the Hart County Jail.
The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper Chris Newkirk. No other information is available for release at this time. Now that this case is pending trial in Edmonson County Circuit Court, the Kentucky State Police will have no further public comment about the investigation. Fatal Collision in Edmonson County

(Bowling Green, KY.) - On Sunday, October 12, 2014, Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green was requested by the Edmonson County Sheriff's Office to investigate a single vehicle fatal collision.
According to Trooper Chris Newkirk, James Miller (19) of Sweeden was travelling south on Little Mountain Road in Edmonson County when his vehicle collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, Tammy Duncan (49) of Sweeden died as a result of the collision.
The investigation is still ongoing and is being investigated by Trooper Chris Newkirk.
