Shots Fired Report Leads to Two Arrested in Simpson County

(Franklin, KY) - On Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at approx. 7:54 pm Troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a residence at 252 Gosnell Road in Simpson County where a call of shots fired had been reported.
Through investigation Jeremy Gosnell (26) of Franklin was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief and was lodged in the Simpson County Detention Center.
Two shotguns were seized at the time and numerous other long guns were observed at the residence. Further investigation into the incident led Troopers back to the residence on February 4, 2016 and Tommy Gosnell (57) was arrested and several other firearms were seized. He was lodged in the Simpson County Detention Center and charged with six counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper Joe Gregory. He was assisted by Sergeant Tucker Carmichael and Trooper Forrest Winchester. No other information is available for release at this time.
