Arrest Made From Reported Suspicious Activity at Parks

(Bowling Green, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green has been investigating multiple incidents that have occurred in the last few days at various parks in Warren County. The reports both included an elderly male subject in a black Nissan pick-up truck that was seen watching or encountering juvenile females in the parks where both parties reported suspicious behavior.
The first incident occurred on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Romanza Johnson Park and involved a 17 year old juvenile female. The second incident occurred on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Basil Griffin Park and involved an 8 and a 10 year old juvenile female.
Through the investigation warrants were issued today for 76 year old Jerry Spears of Scottsville where he was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and charged with:
- Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree (2 Counts)
- Harassment - No Physical Contact (2 Counts)
The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Shae Foley. No further details can be released at this time.
