Three Arrested from Traffic Stop on Interstate 65

(Park City, KY)- Trooper Jonathan McChesney of the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green made a traffic stop on a 2016 Nissan SUV at the 50 mile marker southbound on Interstate 65 today when he observed the vehicle traveling 95 mph. When he made contact with the operator it was determined that she was also under the influence of alcohol. Also in the vehicle were two other adult females, one who was holding a small infant in her lap, along with five other small children (Ages 1, 3, 4, 7, and 10) in the vehicle unrestrained.
The operator of the vehicle, Sheena Ceasar (28) of Chicago, IL was arrested and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center and charged with:
- Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (6 counts)
- Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence Alcohol 1st Offense (Aggravating Circumstance)
- Reckless Driving
- Speeding 25 MPH Over Limit
- No Operators License
- Booster Seat Violations
- Failure to Use Child Restraint Device in Vehicle
Both of the adult female passengers, Jewelean Gates-Ceasar (54) and Jessie Gates (51), both of Illinois, were also arrested and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center and charged with:
- Endangering the Welfare of a Minor
The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Jonathan McChesney and he was assisted by Trooper Mike Hatler and KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Nick Pruitt. No further details can be released at this time.
