Injury Collision on Interstate 65 Involving Two National Guard Vehicles

(Bonnieville, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a two vehicle injury collision on06/04/201 at approx. 11:55 am on Interstate 65 southbound near the 71 mile marker in Hart County that involved two Kentucky Army National Guard vehicles of the 1st Alpha Battery, 623rd Field Artillery out of Glasgow that were in a convoy.
The preliminary investigation indicated that Cody Ogle (25) of Alvaton was operating a Military Armored Vehicle and was traveling southbound in a convoy on Interstate 65 when he rear-ended another Military Armored Vehicle, being operated by Austin Coffey (23) of Edmonton, that had slowed due to the traffic in front of him that had come to a slow.
Mr. Ogle, along with his passenger, Ethan Wilson (26) of Scottsville, were transported from the scene by the Hart County EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Mr. Coffey, along with his passenger, Devin Holman (22) of Burkesville, were not injured in the collision.
The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Ronnie Reynolds. He was assisted on the scene by Trooper Justin Rountree, Hart County EMS, and the Bonnieville Fire Department.
