Armed Home Invasion and Robbery in Cave City

(Cave City, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green was requested by the Cave City Police Department to investigate a home invasion that occurred in the limits of Cave City today at approx. 12:35 pm.
The preliminary investigation indicated that three black males entered a residence, two with handguns, on South Second Street that was occupied by two individuals. The perpetrators restrained one of the occupants and attempted to restrain the other, but was unsuccessful. Some personal items and cash were taken from them and then the three suspects fled the residence on foot. Neither of the occupants of the residence was injured during the invasion.
All three suspects were described as black males, around 6'00" tall, and medium build, with short black hair. One of the suspects was wearing a dark blue T-shirt with "Police" in yellow letters on it, although both victims stated that it was obvious to them that they were not police officers. One of the other suspects was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and the other had on a white T-shirt with the sleeves cut off of it.
The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Detective Adam Morgan. He was assisted by Detectives and Troopers of the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green and the Cave City Police Department. No other information is available for release at this time.
