Two Vehicle Injury Collision on US 31-E

Linwood, KY (August 30, 2016) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a two vehicle injury collision yesterday at approx. 7:52 am on US 31-E North Jackson Highway at Glen Lily Road in Hart County.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Larry Vance (49) of Canmer was operating a 2001 Ford Ranger and was traveling northbound on US 31--E when he attempted to make a left turn onto Glen Lily Road but pulled in to the pathway of a southbound 2002 Ford Escort being driven by Albert Speed (36) of Magnolia, where the two vehicles collided.

Albert Speed and his 5 year old passenger were both transported by Hart County EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital. The juvenile was then flown to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville and Speed was flown to University of Louisville Hospital where they are both in critical, but stable condition.

Vance was not injured in the collision.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper First Class Ronnie Reynolds. He was assisted on the scene by the Trooper Ben Whitlock, Hart County EMS, and the Linwood Fire Department.
