Ohio Man Charged in Henry County Fatal

(Campbellsburg, KY) - An Ohio man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal traffic collision that occurred on I-71 in Henry County on March 13th 2016.
On April 6th Corey Shores, 21 of Dayton Ohio, was lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center after he was arrested in Ohio. Shores was arrested on a warrant obtain by Kentucky State Police for charges related to the March 13th collision that resulted in the death of Andrew Persanyi. Shores was charged with one count of Reckless Homicide, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The warrant was obtained by Kentucky State Police after evidence was recovered from Shores' electronic vehicle recorder that he was traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour prior to the collision. During the course of the initial investigation evidence relating to the drug charges was recovered from Shores' vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and Shores is scheduled for an arraignment in Henry District court on April 11th.
