Update (Arrests): KSP Searching for Escaped Inmate from Marshall County

Paducah, Ky. (March 3, 2017) – At 10:21 p.m. on March 2, 2017, Kentucky State Police responded to 365 Meacham Lane in McCracken County in reference to the ongoing investigation in the escape of Justin W. Goad. Upon their arrival, a male fled on foot away from the residence. After a brief foot pursuit, Justin W. Goad was taken into custody. Also taken into custody at the residence was Kayla M. Birdwell of Paducah, Kentucky.
Goad was charged with Escape 1st Degree (Felony) and Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (Felony). He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
Birdwell was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor), Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Misdemeanor), and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor). She was also served with a Kentucky warrant for Failure to Appear in a pending Calloway County case. She was also charged with Fugitive from Another State in reference to an outstanding warrant from Illinois. She was lodged in McCracken County Jail.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the residence by McCracken County Sheriff Department. The escape investigation is ongoing by Trooper Eric West.
