Kentucky State Police Arrest Colorado Man for Weapon and Drug Charges

EDDYVILLE, Ky. (May 24, 2017) – Kentucky State Troopers assigned to KSP Post 1’s Interdiction Team arrested a Colorado man Tuesday afternoon for weapon and drug charges. The arrest came after they stopped a SUV on Interstate 24 in Lyon County for a traffic violation just before 3:00 p.m. During the traffic stop, Troopers located approximately 1 ounce of high grade marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and two firearms.

Oscar Cruz, age 44, of Greeley, Colorado, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. Cruz was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
