p>Kentucky State Police Investigating Trigg County Collision

GRACEY, Ky. (July 11, 2017) – Kentucky State Police Post 1 is investigating a single vehicle collision which injured a Florida man Sunday afternoon in Trigg County. At approximately 5:30 p.m., KSP responded to the 8000 block of Hopkinsville Road for an injury collision. Preliminary investigation has shown Christopher T. Edwards, age 40, of Boynton Beach, Florida was westbound in a passenger car when the collision began. Edwards was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the collision. The vehicle overturned numerous times, ejecting Edwards. Speed and distracted driving are believed to be contributing factors in the collision.

Edwards was flown by Life Flight to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee for treatment of life threatening injuries.

KSP was assisted on scene by Trigg County EMS and Trigg County Fire/Rescue Squad.
