KSP Post 2 Welcomes New Trooper-R

Madisonville, Ky.. (March 31, 2017) – On Saturday April 1st, Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville will welcome Trooper Stu Recke back to its ranks.
Trooper Recke officially retired from KSP on August 1st, 2016, after 23 years of total service. On March 30, he was sworn in by Muhlenberg County Judge Brian Crick as a Kentucky State Police Trooper-R (retired).
This program allows Troopers who retire, to be sworn in and return working for KSP as a Trooper for a period of up to five years. The Trooper-R does not receive any type of benefits or retirement contributions.
KSP has a toll-free number (1-800-222-5555) that citizens can call to confidentially report impaired drivers or criminal activity. They can also download the free KSP mobile phone app. The app provides quick, direct access to KSP including weather, road and traffic information as well as text, voice and photo tip capabilities to report criminal behavior. The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android applications and can be easily downloaded free of charge through Apple and Google Play stores.
