KSP Arrest Two Men For Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs

Dalton, KY (Hopkins County) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating two Hopkins County men for trafficking in synthetic drugs after a traffic stop lead to their arrest.

On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Trooper Joe Bartolotti conducted a traffic stop on Government Road for a vehicle violation. Upon further investigation it was determined that the operator, Kyle W. Pierce, 30, White Plains, KY was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was arrested. During a search of the vehicle, a quantity of synthetic marijuana that is consistent with trafficking narcotics was located. A passenger of the vehicle, Bradley T. Blanton, 29, Madisonville, KY was also arrested.

Both men were lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center on the following charges:

  • Speeding 17MPH Over Limit
  • Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle
  • Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs – 1st Offense
  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Alcohol/Drugs 2nd Offense
Brandley T. Blanton
  • Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs – 1st Offense
  • Disorderly Conduct, 1st Degree
  • Assault 3rd Degree – Police Officer
  • Resisting Arrest

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Joe Bartolotti.
